I Heart Photography

"Photography is an art of observation.
It is about finding something interesting
in an ordinary place.
...it has little to do with the things you see
and everything to do with the way you see them."
- Elliott Erwitt

It's been fun learning the ins and outs of my new DSLR.
It's also been great that the weather has warmed up here in the Dakotas. Even though the mosquitoes are in full force this time of year, I've been brave enough to go out for a few walks every now and then with camera in tow.
Here are the results of finding something interesting in an ordinary place...

Nature
Small Town USA
The Outdoors
And, of course, what kind of mother would I be if i didn't photograph my beautiful children, right?! Even with a black eye, my little Caleigh is still beautiful, isn't she? She woke up like this one morning after throwing a major temper tantrum in the middle of the night because she couldn't lay down with mommy and daddy. Poor little princess.
That didn't bring her down though. Here she is groovin' to the latest
(also taken with my DSLR :))

And this is our Chance at 6 months old. Yup, he's 6 months old already!!!
Here are a few of his "likes" & milestones he's reached:
  • rolling over both ways (front to back & back to front)
  • sitting up on his own for a few minutes at a a time
  • scooting his way towards a toy he wants
  • has his two bottom teeth
  • chews on anything to help relieve teething pains
  • likes bananas
  • likes peek-a-boo
  • likes to pull hair
  • watches TV
  • loves to be held
  • loves when daddy holds him upside down
  • loves laughing & playing with big sister
He's such a good baby. We are so blessed. He really is a dream come true!
