And today, TJ gave his first talk in church. His talk was on repentance and how we must turn to our Heavenly Father for forgiveness of our sins. He remembered what the missionaries taught him about repentance. He called them the ABC's of repentance : (A) admit (B) be sorry (C) confess (D) don't so it again. Greg and I were very impressed with how he prepared the talk on his own. He did very well. He got a lot of compliments from members of the church also. The bishop even came up to Greg and said what a great job he did. TJ did so well that the bishop asked Greg & I to speak in a few weeks. Hahaha...we knew that was coming. Thanks a lot TJ!!!

Family Fun
We had a fun family day at the Pioneer Day Celebration yesterday. Lots of fun activities and yummy food.
It was a nice hot day too, so the Henderson Fire Dept. helped out with that and hosed us off.
And Caleigh even ran into an old friend there, too. Hi Eli! It was good seeing you :)

Memories
Here is a fun little game...Leave a comment on my blog of a memory that you and I have had together. It doesn't matter if you've known me for a short time, or a long time, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. On your mark...get set...blog your memories!!

New Calling
A call came in this morning from our ward secretary saying that the bishop wanted to meet with Greg and me before Sacrament Meeting. I just thought he wanted to welcome us to the ward and get to know us. He did, but there was something else on the agenda as well. Yup, a calling. A calling for me to serve as 2nd Counselor in the Young Women Presidency.

It kinda took me by surprise since I am still fairly new to the ward. I was expecting him to have a calling for Greg too, but noooo. Greg got off easy. (haha) I just can't get a break...first Primary, now YW. (J/K) I was sustained and set apart today and attended YW for the first time. I met the new YW President and the other leaders who were very supportive. There were only about 6 girls in Young Women today, and they seem like a good group of girls. I look forward to serving them and learning a lot as well.

Hot Time, Summer in the City
Had a long day yesterday. Started by going to get our weekly massage at the chiropractor's office and then headed to the Rec Center with the kids for some fun in the sun. It was a hot 111 degrees yesterday, so it was a perfect day for some pool time. Caleigh loved being in the water and TJ had a blast jumping off the diving boards they had there.

Later that evening, I went on one of my first outings without any kids. That meant no diaper bags, bottles, burp cloths, wipes, etc... I felt so naked just taking a little purse with just my wallet, cell phone, and lip gloss. Greg got free tickets for Bette Midler
at Caesars Palace through work and he didn't want to go (imagine that), so I took my mom. The "Divine Miss M" looked great for 62 and put on a good show. Her comedy was a bit crude, but her singing was beautiful. My favorite part of the show was when she sang The Rose and everyone lit up the Colosseum with their cell phones. All in all, Mom and I had a fun Girl's Night Out!!!
